V for Vendetta (2005) | Remember, Remember... the 5th of November | The VHS Club ep 148

Remember, remember the 5th of November...We're wrapping up our "spooky" month of movies that may have eerily predicted the future with V FOR VENDETTA (2005)!Yes, we know. It's technically a little outside our usual VHS-era territory. But when November 5th falls on a Thursday, how could we NOT?Join Katie and Nat as we revisit the dystopian thriller starring Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving, dig into the behind-the-scenes trivia, and talk about why its themes of government surveillance, propaganda, fear, and resistance still feel uncomfortably relevant.Plus, we're asking the important questions:- Is V a hero, a terrorist, or something much more complicated?- Has this movie aged a little TOO well?- What does a younger generation think of this movie?- And how many spuds does a movie get when it practically shares Katie's family birthday calendar?💌 Join the Tater Tot email list:https://www.thevhsclubpod.com/email🎬 Learn more about The VHS Club:https://www.thevhsclubpod.com📼 See our movie list (and add your own!):https://movielist.thevhsclubpod.com🕹️ Play Freeze Frame, our movie-guessing game:https://game.thevhsclubpod.com
